It’s only taken 12 years but the C is finally getting decent, exciting, obscure bands sending in shit for review. Tigon have a 3 song seven inch here of lumbering, hefty rock and roll music that lurches a bit between Karp, grunge and 90s emo. I must mention the quality vocals here, spilling the guts out like a classic Witching Hour band, but adept enough to drop off into something less ridiculous but just as intense when required. The music smartly combines muscle and IQ, to create something worth hearing. I really like when the first track completely drops off at the end into a little feedback and wild spoken vocals as everything slows down, very Honeywell. First song on the flip is a lumbering oafish, groove of a bastard. Very impressive. They finish off with a quickfire burst, which is ok enough but I appreciate this band more when they are coming on like an avalanche. Cool seven!
