This band is a superb blend of screamo and punk. Really top-notch stuff. The first song “” “Taking Away the House’ begins with some really quick drumming, lots of not-too-complicated guitars which overlap nicely. The vocals are distinctly screamo but the rest of the instruments on this track have more of a punk/hardcore feel. The second track is “Golden Coasts’ which begins in true emo fashion with some quiet guitars slowly building up. There are dual vocals being yelped all over the shop which are really nice too. This song definitely has a more emo feel than the former but kind of pitters out towards the end which is a shame. This band kinda reminds me of L’antietam, but a more basic version. Not that this is a bad thing at all “” it’s just more “straight-up’ than L’antietam, less techness. This is a really decent effort for a first 7″. It comes of loads of crazy colours and on the B-side is an etching of a house. Cool beans.
