While the whole “Crossed Out playing the My War B side” line is definitely overegging it, this one should nonetheless hit the mark if you’ve got a taste for mean, frustrated, blinded-by-rage hardcore. Things are split between stumbling, feedback-pissing lurches and more straightahead bursts of burly aggression, exploring similar sonic and psychological terrain to bands like Walls, Cold Sweat and Fever in a way that’s a darn sight more formidable than their sometime labelmates whilst not quite a match for the negative headspaces of those first two brutalisers. Good, though, and definitely well worth a try if you ever need to be reminded just what an ugly thing the human mind can be.
