Man this is so cheeseball but I kind of like it. They have plinky keyboards and chuggy pop punk riffs, tussling with enthusiastic Blink 182-ish vocals, so you can be sure that they are big fans of Something to Write Home About. Yet I don’t know if it’s the couple of beers, or circumstances or whatnot, but I am strangely enjoying Pinsky. The music is chock full of poppy energy and the only real negative for me is when the two emoters tangle their over-wrought vocals together. For the most part Two for the Road is all upbeat bluster and Get Up Kidsian slapdash fun, with brief moments of relaxation. If you are around the age of 18-22, and need to queue up some fist pumping, goofy shit for a kick-ass summer of ironically enjoying the kind of music you listened to when you were 14, then Pinsky should be a port of call for you. Me, I am way too fucking old to be caught listening to music like this so I better pretend I hated it. Now fuck off out of this review before I call the cops.
