These guys reference themselves to Strung Out and A Wilhem Scream in the letter with this, but I haven’t heard either band so don’t know about that. I do know that this is fast paced pop-punk/hardcore crossover like Thrice played at 45 perhaps. Plenty of guitar noodling and finger tapping going on which I always enjoy but this isn’t really my thing to be honest. 5 tracks here all of which are well written (which is more than I can say for a lot of stuff Andy sends me on), with the exception of a dodgy metal riff in the first track. If bands like this are still successful (relatively) then if they got some money and a slicker production behind them they could do pretty well out of this. Not really for Collective, but not bad.
