Moonless - s/t - 12

Two tracks of classic-sounding doom clumping across a one-sided 12″ from these four Danes, their atavistic sounds harking back to the likes of Count Raven, Pentagram and Vitus. This, as if you needed telling, means bluesy, low-slung riffs and soulful, smoke-ravaged vocals poured thick and slow through a weighty – if somewhat cobweb-muffled – 70s rock filter. Barring the fact that the band features folks from Gorilla Angreb, Amdi Petersens Armi and No Hope For The Kids there aren’t too many surprises to be had along the way, but when it comes to this kind’ve rawk things like innovation and exploration aren’t exactly high on anyone’s list of priorities, the simple fact that things are heavy as hell and played with a fuckload of heart making up for just about everything else.
