Sucioperro appear to have been around for a good while now and are a bit of an alternative rock band. It’s quite polished overall “” you get big crunching riffs, some anthemic, air-punching choruses, warped vocals and lots of swearing. The first track has a big, rocky and driving riff and warped vocals yelling “ I want to f*** you up” and other similarly themed statements. “Rabbits In Boxes” is a slower track that recalls Biffy Clyro’s stadium moments before its heavier ending and there are a few more Biffy Clyro moments along the way although it’s a lot heavier than them. The title track is more of a pop rock monster. If you’re asking me personally what I think of this album then I’d have to say that it’s not for me. I can’t get into it at all – it’s far too slick, contains far too much pointless swearing and far too much posturing modern hard rock for my liking. I’m sure plenty of people will like this and every other review I have read seems to say it is near enough the best album ever. Seeing as the CD never arrived at my house I used the bandcamp page to review it which means that I don’t have to even bother to take it to the charity shop down the road where it would rot on the shelves forever alongside various Simply Red albums and, curiously enough, a Thousand Yard Stare CD. I will leave you with this little nugget of wisdom from the track “Where At Dat Wild At” – “You can get your tongue on my face right now/Your DNA make me bow wow wow”.
