If you like notes, you are absolutely going to bloody love this new song from Axes because there are loads of them flying at your head and into your ears, left, right and centre. Like the 7″ which I dug a great deal, Axes make an instrumental math-rocking stew with lots of busy riffing and time changes that could be pretty annoying were it not for the thick vein of joyous melody that courses through it all. I reckon this track isn’t as good as the ones off the 7″ but it’s still good fun for people who like Adebisi Shank, Faraquet and the like. It’s not coming out as a physical releases but you can get it off bandcamp for 50p.
