X-Ray Vision play instrumental jangly surf music, guitar led but with an underpinning (and awesome) organ in the background. It’s hard not to nod your head to it and the songs are all short and sweet. The only downside is that this sort of music really needs vocals – without them there’s little replay value and despite the variety of riffs I find the album blends into one long surf anthem. Chucking in a few audio samples just doesn’t cut it guys. Which is a shame because the band have a lot to offer and getting some solid vocals going could turn this into something special.
