Youth Avoiders - s/t - LP (2013)

Labels: Destructure
Review by: Oli Saunders

I have a feeling that Julien from Baton Rouge recommended this lot to me (I just found their name stored away in my phone notes). I like very few hardcore punk bands but Youth Avoiders manage to cross into this threshold. It’s flat out, it’s pissed off, and it’s French. The guitars have a semi-garagey jangly feel – I remember writing many reviews in the past about how much I love the jangly French emo guitar sound. It gets a bit samey but that may be because this genre is not really my true love. You lot should check this out.
