This is Wussy’s Fifth full length release, never heard of them. Sorry about that really because this is a nice piece of music. Wasn’t the most immediate thing for me, but this lingers and I dug it a little more each time I came back, and I came back. Droney fuzz rock with hypnotic hooks to begin with, then some folky and country songs taking up most of the disk. First song “Teenage Wasteland” which is a homage to The Who, sounds like one of Bruce Springsteen’s standards with female vocals. Next song Rainbows and Butterflies is a sonic blast, great stuff. Song 5 Acetylene really reminds me of Donovan’s Hurdy Gurdy Man. Really varied and well worth a look if into blue collar rock. Have fallen a little bit in love with Lisa walkers voice. The male vocals are great too though. Memorable tunes, got well into it. Braw.
