Modern folky band music, Belle & Sebastian an attempted point of reference. The poetic lyrics are alright, though seem to be trying a bit too hard. But unfortunately I can’t get past the vocals – deep and heartfelt but they annoy me! It’s not bad overall but I’ll stick to listening to The National and Things In Herds, two bands in which The Reverse’s sound lies somewhere in between.
