Hmm, so this is on a list of things I am supposed to be reviewing. Only problem is I don’t know how it got there. I can’t find a CD or anything, or an e-mail. Just a link to a bandcamp page in a document where I list things I am supposed to review. And there is only one song there. It’s a really cool song though that I am enjoying a lot, I just still can’t explain what it’s doing on that list. “Haunted Place” is a casually smart piece of indie rock with soaring vocals that really reminds me a lot of Katie the Pest. I am guessing that’s it really, that I heard this song somewhere when drunk and thought “shit that sounds like Katie the Pest, I want to write about it” and put it on a list. Damn, it is a really good song. It’s especially good when moving from these groovy bassy parts into much softer periods. The vocals are really where it wins it for me though. Well, maybe one day it’ll come back to me as to what on earth happened here, but at least I did the review.
