Labels: Even Worse

Noisy noisy punk noise. It’s basically a distillation of 33 years’ worth of bands from all over the bloody world sounding like Discharge and attempting to rip the sound to shreds while abiding by a fairly strict set of parameters. If you like Disclose, Chaos UK, Disclose, Nerveskade, Anti-Cimex at their rawest… you get the idea, right? It sounds rabid and all messed up but there’s enough by way of actual songsmithery (I use that term incredibly loosely) that you don’t feel like someone’s pissing their stiff, unwashed black jeans laughing at your expense for buying such a mess. Apparently this lot wield power tools as part of their live set, which worries me considering how much cider is usually consumed by these types: I wouldn’t trust myself with a nailgun, jigsaw or belt sander at the best of times, let alone while loaded on scrumpy, glue fumes and with a basement’s worth of sour sweat dripping into my eyes. Still, it takes all sorts, so stand back, don your safety goggles and let the sparks fly…
