Ok, this one is being written about fairly late (it was sent in in March) but I think it’s one that deserves to be talked about and is a fittingly solid EP by a departing UK band who are disbanding after 11 years together. Or, rather, have disbanded already as there was talk of final shows in the email this came in on. This is 4 final songs that are typical of their mathy and energetic sound which sees them hovering again between emo, indie and post hardcore…all three at once or whatever. While mathy they are still pretty direct and driven. It’s a shame this band is no more. However, fear not – there are already some new bands that have sprouted from these roots. The two I have heard so far (The Correct Arc and Trials Of Early Man) are both worth your time – particularly if you’ve enjoyed Action and Action in the past.
