Pineal play really slow metal with vocals that I can only describe as being of the Metallica variety, mainly because I know nothing about metal. They’ve had a load of reviews according to their bandcamp page so this late one on Collective is hardly going to change the world. I’d go read them if I were you to be honest because the reviewers seem to actually know what they are on about. The music is pretty solid – cool slow riffs with a basic drum beat behind – I like that – things step up near the end of ‘AOL’, a highlight for me. I guess I’ve seeking the 5ive vibes so I can get caught up in them. It gets a bit samey as the record goes on. See, I can dig stuff like Earthtone9 but Pineal just seem like a more boring version of them.
