Sunken Monkey are from Burnley and play melodic pop punk. Track one ‘This Town’s Too Big (For The both Of Us)’ starts out okay, though there quickly become quite a few things that I’m not keen on – the second set of vocals that chirp in now and again take away rather than add. And the lyrics just don’t resonate at all. This is even more so on track two in which the chorus is ‘Hey fuck you, well fuck you too’. I just can’t get into it; the riffs become boring and nothings stands out. Just go listen to Dillinger Four instead.
