Sinners - Dead Conscience - CD (2014)

Labels: Majestic Underground
Review by: Oli Saunders

You can easily make a punk band name or album/song title by thinking of a word and adding ‘Dead’ to the front of it. Dead Town, Dead Hands, Dead Hope, Dead Monstrosities. Those I offer to you my friend. The last one’s the best. Sinners have pulled off the trick well and have gone with Dead Conscience. They play hardcore punk with the somewhat cliched topics of skating, hatred, burning flags, the ratrace, … but I’m into it. Fast, solid riffs and drumming, and a dude shouting over the top. There’s probably a million bands that they sound like; I’m not a connoisseur of the style so the best I can think of is Dean Dirg. I say that just because I remember seeing them and a bunch of bands at Trashfest many years ago and they remind me of Sinners. Worth a listen if any of this sounds vaguely up your street.

Dead Connoisseur, that’s another one.
