The Muerte demo was a bit of a rager and this little slice follows suit. The band definitely draw from what’s been going on in the punk rock fishbowl over the past few years, with ragged Toxic State vibes and delay-damaged ‘dark punk’ vocals both at play. Thankfully, though, things’re also peppered some more variegated elements, from the wayward Wipers undercurrent to a gnashing, snarling clangour that recalls the first few Kim Phuc 7″s. Couple all this with smart, catchy songwriting and an overriding sense of genuine pissed-offness and you’re onto a winner – great stuff indeed from Mexico City!
