This is some pretty clean and jangly indie from Toronto via Scotland and Ireland where a couple of the members come from. The Smiths are the obvious influence as well as 80s pop which comes out in the catchiness and synth laced throughout many of the tracks here. They even delve into some prime stalker-mo with this breathy thing the singer does on the second track. It’s a little clean-sounding overall for my personal taste but they write decent pop songs and have me thinking of The Ocean Party as well as the 80s along the way.
