Great death metal bands seem to be oozing up through the Irish soil like a plague of vile, grave-fed worms. Case in point: Coscradh, who add their glutinous riffs and death rattle vocals to a groaning fray that includes the likes of Malthusian, Zom and Apostate Viaticum. Mixing rumbling slow parts with frantic scrabbles higher up the fretboard the band conjure a dank, foreboding atmosphere with a fairly basic set of materials, all ministered over by some enjoyably slime-dripping, rot-throated vocals.
