My Japanese hasn’t improved much since the last time I wrote about Otoboke Beaver so I’ll be referring to the tracks in their English translation here, I’m afraid. In fact, the only time I’m aware of what they’re yelling about is when they mention the name of their band in “Introduce Me To Your Family”. Pretty much everything is at breakneck speed so I could barely keep up in whatever language it was anyway. Three new tracks then – one of which is a mere 19 seconds long and would give A Page of Punk a run for their money. “Introduce Me To Your Family” does take the foot off the pedal a touch and even sneaks in some vocal harmonies but this is five minutes of mayhem touched with an ever-so-slightly poppy side.
