Lumpily direct death metal with some crusty overtones, where everything is sleek and pro despite the gurgly, sewer-dredging sound. Grave and Bolt Thrower serve as basic points of reference, but there’s also a lot of fairly forgettable melody going in the riffing. Vocals are as you’d expect, and the drums are just a relentless clicking sound. The title track has something interestingly gloomy going on, while its pt.II follow-up is just a bit wrong. This is their fifth album, and in all honesty I can’t say I’m inclined to dig any further back on the basis of this rather stock, dreary offering.
