Miracle Drug - How Much Is Enough - Download (2017)

Labels: War
Review by: Alex Deller

Five tracks of tense, desperate, punchy stuff that finds a neat middle ground between 80s and 90s hardcore. First thoughts are a tougher take on revolution summer (Gray Matter meets Swiz?), but there’s also a tendency towards thumping dissonance that makes sense when you learn members have played in C.R., Supertouch, Mouthpiece and By The Grace Of God. This latter name is actually a pretty solid point of reference when it to Miracle Drug’s 90s-sounding undercurrents, albeit perhaps dosed with the sounds of labelmates Snapcase and fellow Kentuckians Endpoint. All in all, it’s pretty damn good, and the crass verdict is that while I’m not feeling flush enough to take the international postage hit for a five-song 12″, this could definitely change when they get a full-length out.
