Five short blasts of mean, ugly hardcore from this new band. The thunk ‘n’ swing of opener ‘False Positive’ immediately puts me in mind of Apartment 213, but alongside the powerviolent clobberings you also get gruesome dollops of Obituary-esque deathliness and the malevolent chug of 90s metalcore. It’s a potent release by anyone’s standards, but the fact this is the band’s debut makes it all the more impressive – they’re definitely ones to keep tabs on if the likes of Xibalba, Withdrawn, Ringworm or Mind Eraser have ever had you grinning wildly through a mouthful of busted, bloody teeth.
