The third 7″ from Brazilian maniacs Lasso shows no signs of let up. If things are more streamlined it’s only by a dab, the band charging around the place like the proverbial bull in a china shop as they let loose an unstoppable array of stompy, FX-blasted riffs and hellacious roars. Things have a weird sort of crumbly outer coating that flakes away as each song progresses to reveal something sharp and unpalatable, like ground up glass inside tainted Halloween candy. Each song is breathless, urgent and, above all, exciting, making this one another bona fide cracker.
