A duo who’ve served time in terminally underrated lysergic riffmongers 16 and Miami sludge heavyweights Cavity, ‘Bestial’ comes on like a heavenly blend of raw hardcore and blown-out stoner rock that revels in its dichotomies. It’s doomy yet joyful. It’s brutal yet melodic. It has Fu Manchu style fuzz blast distortion but can be totally light on its feet at times. The grooves these guys hit at times are so undeniable yet the pull of a ton of twists and turns. Basically this is the best of the only two worlds that matter – loud and heavy. Shallow but totally addictive.
