What a nice surprise! This is some great, unabashedly nasty noise-rock from three Norwegian fuckheads, fronted by what sounds like that weirdo Bobcat Goldthwait punk dude from the later Police Academy movies (you know exactly who I am talking about) that knows exactly how far to push the pain on you until it become pure, guilty pleasure. This albums stomps about, but it’s light on its feet, not getting bogged down in overly wilful noisemongery and never forgetting to actually, physically ROCK you, moving onto the next thing before the listener has had a chance to regain their mental footing, keeping it vital, urgent and exciting. Combine The Jesus Lizard’s wiry sound, the Melvins’ exploration of all things loud, Shellac’s thick vein of misanthropy, Tad’s bloated slabs of riffery, a production job by Billy Anderson, and you’ve got a short but sweet eight-tracker making up an awesome album!
