I remember this lot’s CD on Ed Walters Records from a few years ago being a neat if unremarkable bit of highly politicised punk hardcore erring towards a d-beat approach. Not a lot has changed, although I think there’s a new vocalist involved with a great shriek on her, and everything’s got even tighter than it was before. The songs are good and spiky, with lots of satisfyingly crunchy fastness, smart melodies and plenty of anger. It sounds wiry rather than truly heavy, but that helps when picking out the complexities. This gets extra marks for coming really nicely packaged, with great artwork and a sweet foldout sleeve.
