Labels: Cut The Cord That…
Review by: Alex Deller
Euro reissue of this Boston band’s four-song demo tape, which originally came out on Twerp Records back in 2013. It has that crisp, icy vibe that’ll doubtless have them lumped in with all the dour ‘dark’ punk acts doing the rounds, but because there’s a bit more bounce going on it actually makes me think of a revolution summer Observers. The guitar work crackles and jabs, the songs are tersely constructed and the dual male/female vocals carry a slow-to-boil desperation which perfectly matches the sense of dislocation to be found in the lyrics. Overall it’s pretty great, and if this trio are still a going concern I’d love to hear what they could do over the course of a full-length.
