Featuring, as they do, members of such modern luminaries as Hatred Surge and Insect Warfare it should come as no surprise that Knuckle Scraper have effectively nailed their chosen style, pilfering heavily from the likes of Infest, Crossed Out and Man Is the Bastard (duh…) and making a satisfying enough noise in the process. What I can’t quite dig, however, is that so much of the lyrical content is nowt but pointless goofing off and in-jokes, leading me to wonder just what the point of shouting your guts out is if all you’re doing is spouting trivial banalities. Kinda spoils the effect if you can’t reasonably be as angry as you sound, no?
