A hugely enjoyable slice of crust punk here that draws from various sources and comes up trumps. The throaty vocals and full-speed-ahead energy bring ‘Fifteen Counts Of Arson’ immediately to mind, but the lean, rangy sound and frequent dynamic pivots suggest Organa have more in mind than mere HHIG worship. If the stomps, surges and lunges are to be expected there are also moments of pleading urgency that suggest the more desperate, believable side of noughties screamo – a point hammered home by the fact that ‘Bleischürze’ even manages to work in some pleasingly pretty Belle Epoque-style twinkles. It all pulls together quite marvellously, and while the 15-minute runtime seems short the band manage to cram in a full album’s worth of ideas, hooks and hammer-blow riffs.
