This here is a live 7″, with 8 songs on it from late ’93 and early ’94. I don’t know much about the band except they were from California, and maybe some members went on to form some crazy hardcore bands.
The tracks on here are also crazy hardcore, with lots of rapid guitar squealing and thrashing, a long with speedy drums, topped off with full on screamed emo vocals, although they don’t do much vocalising. A lot of the stuff is pretty spazzy and mental, though I guess the live recording and the heaps of distortion don’t particularly help when it comes to picking out the structure of the songs. Personally, I think the better stuff comes on side 2, “101” starts off all rumbling and threatening, before breaking into hyper-speed intense hardcore and screaming, then breaking down again. And “Numb” too, where you can actually pick out some of the words that are yelled. They even have a nice melodic section on this song! Wow.
Another neat document for people who missed out when something came round the first time.
