LA-based hardcore act Entry deliver some lean, rangy blasts of fury with their first full-length, and the results go down a treat. It’s a spare and stripped-back release, with everything honed to razor-sharpness: riffs, beats and parched vocals are delivered with clipped economy but maximum force, and half the time you’re not entirely sure what it is that’s knocked you on your arse. I’m minded of bands like Cursed, Punch and Left For Dead in terms of sound, harshness and urgency – not bad comparisons to have at any point in your career, but particularly so this early on.
