This, right here, is a nasty piece of work. Eyeteeth don’t so much announce themselves as explode in your face, shredding skin, bone and muscle as they haemorrhage hate, violence and sickened disbelief. While the title might lead you to expect some sort of sxe Infest knock-off, this doesn’t hew to any particular style or sound and, in fact, presents something far more gnarly and visceral. The scything, flat-out speed nods to Dropdead and Hellnation, but the overall vibe is more akin to Gehenna – both in terms of the dirty, infection-prone sound and the sneering, embittered delivery. Sonically it’s deadly, and politically it’s on-point too: setting its sights on cops, politicians and the feckless, privileged classes who blithely coast through the chaos of modern life, forever insulated from the misery they’ve helped wreak.
