Trebly, claw-your-jaw-off grind, hailing from São Paulo. The riffs are wiry and played with manic intensity – jarring but at the same time catchy and carrying a whiff of black metal drama about them – while the vocals sound furiously ruptured and the drums are incessant but also inventive. The punkish energy and in-the-red sense of attack are more than enough to sweep you giddily along toward the finish line, but if you can somehow stop to pause for breath you’ll also notice some unexpected elements. ‘A Cada Minuto’, for example, has an odd, experimental quality about it while ‘Ouça!’ is a minute-long hc number and ‘Sussurros’ jams some awkward angularity into the mix. If they don’t necessarily make the listening experience easier, they do add tone and texture to a record that already had a whole heap of good stuff going for it in the first place.
