Solid but somewhat stock grind, which comes to us via Denmark. There are eighteen tracks here, and bar a pleasant acoustic interlude it’s as full steam ahead as you’d expect: tidy, airless riffs played at 300mph while one of the guys hocks a lung up over the top.

Despite the undeniable competence and confidence with which it’s all played, there’s a definite sense of been-there-done-that to it all. This isn’t necessarily a death blow for a grindcore record, but at the same time it does beg the question as to why you’d choose this particular album over a well-worn favourite (Brutal Truth, Insect Warfare, The Kill… take your pick) or even one of the many similar-sounding releases on labels like RSR or Selfmadegod.

Still, amid the flat-out blasts there are some more interesting, individualistic moments. ‘Calculated Demise’, for instance, stands out as a particular highlight, so here’s hoping for more of that now the band have got the straight-ahead stuff out their system.
