Boris are a Japanese band who recently toured our fair isles for the first time, pretty much slaying everybody who went to see them. This 7″ was released to coincide with the Dublin show, where both bands on this 7″ played. It’s an odd mismatch: Boris are arse-kicking tuneful rock ‘n’ roll, a bit like Queens Of The Stone Age in Japanese on overdrive, whilst The Dudley Corporation are definitely indie, only without the shitty connotations that usually entails. Worth getting solely for the brilliant Boris track of course, but The Corpo definitely have a fun way with throwaway lyrics and deft instrumentation, that can be playful, can be heartfelt. Nice sleeve!
