Moksha - Supersilver Haze - CD (2006)

Labels: underhill
Review by: Alex Deller

Heavy riffage aplenty from Moksha on this, their fourth album. Herein they straddle the straight-up stoner rock of early High on Fire and add a big dirty glob of Keelhaul’s wandering math attack to keep you on your toes. Vocalist Guillem Funollet unleashes one mighty UURRRGHHH! after another, his rasping, bear-throated groans and bellows riding atop supercharged riffs that meld Sabbathantine simplicity and more complicated fretwork with consummate ease, paving the way for an album that’s interesting, varied and never more than a few moments away from giving you a fresh reason to bang that damaged ol’ noggin.
