Insect Warfare is a grind band from Texas. I’ve always thought that’d be a good place for a grind band to come from. The dank, sweaty, roiling heat from thrashing about in basement venues; the intense mental claustrophobia caused by the vast expanses of the surroundings; the total malaise from contending with the general population (or am I making an assumption there?). Anyway, the style of grind IW churn out is of the seriously weighty, rough, crusty variety with plenty in the way of rocking moments to break up the blur. This absolutely devastating CD compiles the ‘Endless Execution…’ and ‘At War With Grindcore’ EPs on 625Thrash and the tracks from the split 7″ on RSR with the equally incredible Hatred Surge along with a comp track an entire rehearsal recording and a few unreleased bits and bobs. 29 tracks in all. Bargainous.
