Following on from a cracking demo, here are four brand new songs of big riffed instru-metal from this Cardiff troupe (maybe I’ve let the cat out the bad there – they insist that they hail from Eastern Europe, with daft sounding monikers to match). Instead of wallowing in soporific sludge, Zonderhoof generally keep the tempo and minor-key melody levels up, cool, twisty riffs providing a satisfying crunch to proceedings. All this without the hideous distraction of someone singing over the top too! Basically, if you told Capricorns to stop being boring all the fucking time, this is how they might sound.
