Aside from the introductory pound of ‘Tread On Me’ and the final belly-emptying lurch of ‘Strong And Able First’ this latest effort from these Seattle sluggers is pretty brisk business, careening out of control with scant regard for whoever may stumble into its path. While it mightn’t stick around to grind human meat into the ground like previous efforts it’s hardly a barrel of laughs either, each jagged track a more insidious dose of bile-spewing, antagonistic hardcore than the one before it and liable to send the softer sorts out there stumbling for cover with crumpled windpipes. Think a modernised take on Heroin, Rorschach and Citizens Arrest with a clawful of noise rock thrown in or, to to couch it in even simpler terms: think one of the best hardcore bands doing the rounds right now.
