Labels: make a mess – Wizard Mountain

Always nice when a blind buy pays off, and this feisty 12″ is just what the doctor ordered – ragged, rambunctious garage punk with a big ol’ squeeze of surf, coming across somewhere inbetween “Rats Revenge” and an old Davie Allan biker theme. Eyes roll, mouths froth and chords are scratched out in haphazard fashion, the amphetamine fizz of it all belying the fact that buried not-so-discretely beneath the hollers, fuzz and feedback is the ability to pen some pretty top-notch songs. Ace!
