Not quite sure why it’s taken me so long to check Needles out since they’re basically some sort of Talk Is Poison / Crudos mash-up, but here we are, three 7″s later and I discover that they’re really rather a blast. This little slice o’ vinyl features six short hc songs and each one’s a full-throttle banger full of riffs, rage and attitude, with Martin Sorrondeguy’s vocals as searing as just about anything else he’s done (Los Crudos, Limp Wrist, N/N etc.) and killer songwriting nous drawn from the heart rather than a weekend’s worth of blank-eyed blog-trawling. Spot-on!
