Not quite sure what is going on with any of this, but it’s pretty great. The cover is a true aberration and sums things up nicely, looking like the A-level art project of a semi-talented 17-year-old who’s spent too much time taking acid and reading William Gibson. The music is strange and nervous and incredibly shaky, punk at its core but rattling with industrial influences and early Swans intentions. Things clank and grate, electronic sounds pound and bubble, the voice sounds like it has been wrenched across an early version of the internet and it ultimately makes me feel like I could be devoured by mechanical rats at any moment. It’s a glowering fiend of a thing, really, and altogether a bit of a peach.
