Kluster Fuck - Crazymaker - 12

Really, the stench of nu metal is still too fresh to be a band called Kluster Fuck (with a ‘K’!) and to name your debut album ‘Crazymaker’. I’m sorry, but it just is. Thankfully Kluster Fuck are better than any of this would imply, playing a ragged brand of combustible grindcore that’s riven with feedback and favours a production job that’s more Mob 47 than Pig Destroyer. While it’ll take you a listen or five to decipher anything that might be going on musically, the thing that’ll immediately leap out is the sheer insanity of the vocals: utter shrieking abandon that approaches Devola-like levels of madness. It’s over in a flash which is probably for the best – both from my hearing’s perspective and for the singer’s poor, tortured larynx.
