Erradict - demo - Tape (2015)

This tape’s inlay features a Worzel Gummidge-looking fellow in an Anti-Cimex shirt drinking something called “˜crust beer’ “” an ale I’d wager even Andy wouldn’t chance his luck on. The band, you may be unsurprised to learn, play noise-punk, albeit with a bit of a Japanese hc bent. Things are more distinguishable here than on many other bands’ releases, which is either a blessing or a chronic genre failing depending on how you look at it. The rasps, riffs and (d-)beats are all fairly stock, and when the chaotic noise descends it’s layered on like a cosy shawl rather than scything through your throat like piano wire. I find it easy enough to get on with, but at the end of the day I don’t think my life would be any more empty than it already is had our paths not been fated to cross.
