This is some rather good and punky indie rock from a new band based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Featuring Sarah Blumenthal who is also in Alright, this is their first outing and they serve up five songs with the obvious reference points being 90s indie rock bands like The Breeders and Sleater Kinney. The grooving “Teacups” is a bit more post punk and might be the standout for me but final song “Ancient Bones” slows things down and is another fine song. Keen to hear a lot more from this band – had this on repeat for the last few days.
