Originally released on Aussie label Cool Death, the debut LP from Tyrannamen has been given a new lease of life thanks to Static Shock. Good job, too, because as many people as possible need to get their mitts on this scuffed-up, bruise-hearted garage punk gem. It comes off somewhere between Royal Headache and the direction Greg Cartwright’s been taking Reigning Sound: soulful and mopey, but with plenty of punk rock kick and the sort of sharp, smart songwriting skills that the Australian DIY scene seems to have such a knack for at the moment.
