Hefty full-length from this Massachusetts band, who bring to the table a mix of belligerent power violence and gurning sludge. The way, of course, is both troubled and arduous, with the fast blasts furious and the slogged-out moments like weights placed upon your chest. Imagine a more honed and focused Backslider, perhaps, or Iron Lung if they ditched the jagged parts and took their slow-mo influences from Noothgrush instead of Swans. Most satisfactory, all in all.
